Poetry: No Finer Love
Let philosophers and
poets squander
Their gushing words
about love –
But Love’s denied those
who wander and
Heed the trumpets of
conflict blowing
Love is affinity to
the 10th degree
The willingness to be
closer than close
To occupy the same
space and agree
Like a sun ray agrees
to be the rose
Love is not a Valentine
– chemical Body game
gambling with tragedy
Love the godly state of
body and mind
Is me being you
– you willing to be me
No finer love awaits the
human race
Than two enlightened
souls embracing
Each other’s here and now
– each other’s time and space
