Poetry: Cup of Kindness

Cup of Kindness

I

Dear friends gather 'round candlelight
Come Highlands and Lowlands tonight

We lift our hearts as old friends do
With a cup of kindness for two

With a cup of kindness for two, my friend
With a cup of kindness for two

We'll laugh and sing till the candle's end
With a cup of kindness for two

II

In younger fields we ran with glee
Our bodies and minds running free

Now let us toast the battles lost
And victories that soon will be

And lift our hearts as old friends do
With a cup of kindness for two
